What's your preferred hunting weather?
I absolutely love hunting in fresh snow. I don't like hunting in hot weather.

Fresh snow, low enough temp that snow remains without crusting up and the snow is on the ground not piled on branches. Then there would be no excuse! Lol

Light rain during the rut is hard to beat. That's my favorite time.

20/35 degrees 0/3 mph wind 2/6 inches of snow . Day time temp below 40 degrees so meat processing can be done at convenient time.

I want a little snow or rain to keep the ground wet, temp just above freezing, and overcast. My footfalls are quiet, the ticks and flies are still in hiding, and I'm not going from cold to hot to cold depending if I'm in the shade or sun.

Days in the thirties, nights in the twenties and a bit of snow is about perfect.

Eh...wot?

Raining now and supposed to continue most of the day. I’m going to be sitting tomorrow morning. I figure the bucks might be moving freshening up those new scrapes. If it’s cool that’ll be even better.

For ducks....

About 38 degrees with 15 mph winds from the NW spitting snow. I will be found hunkered down in a patch of cattails or bullrushes with a thermos of hot coffee overlooking a good spread of decoys.

Deer, to me, are quite secondary.

Always cooler, with a cold crisp north breeze blowing, either clear or cloudy.
