I've heard some crazy stories about that lake

Prolly all made up from the hippies on acid during Burning Man

These stories predate the burners.

Great photo and fish. Brings me back to the fishing days I had with my granddaughter when she was about that age. They're memories you'll always hang onto as will she remember fishing with grandpa.

Some mornings I wake up grouchy. Some mornings I let her sleep.

My friend was part of a study on that lake. He said it was a creepy place at times. He said it was the first place he saw "ladder" fishing. He showed me a couple pictures of people sitting on top of step ladders fishing.. I guess it's common to leave your ladder there to "claim" your spot.

Not any more, if your off it for more then 15 mins you can get a ticket for littering. I remember an old outdoor life article about milk create fishing on pyramid. This was early 80s.
Now they use chairs like this
