2005 Tacoma extended cab 4x4 TRD Off Road. I broke a leaf spring left rear. A friends buddy has a pair off his 2011 TRD SPORT. His come off for an upgrade.
Will they bolt on? saving hundreds if it works.

Yes. They will fit. 2005 -2015 the same height other than some are 3 leaf and some are 4 leaf. I think there was a recall or TSB for up through 2010. The drivers side can break and puncture the fuel tank. The new version has clips to hold them in place if they break. You might get new ones free. 2016-2022 will fit also but increase your height by 1". My passenger side has had one leaf broken for about 6 months. I am waiting on a donor also. Thanks for the info. Helps a lot

Like has been said, go to Toyota's website and pull up the TSB, Toyota Safety Bulletin. It's one step below a recall without calling it a recall. There's also a clock spring TSB as well in the steering column for the airbag. Yours may be included in that one as well. Just Google Toyota TSB and it'll pull up the link you need to look at. You'll enter either your license plate info, or your VIN number and it'll show any bulletins for your vehicle. You also want to make sure to do regular coolant swaps on your 05 as that year had head gasket issues that Toyota would never admit to being a faulty design.
Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand
