Yep, likely never. Both “sides” in control are to polarized and want to thump their chest over what they want to say is right. We need a true and reasonable third party in the White House to help force sensible compromise and at least ATTEMPTS at solutions and reform on this and so many other issues that ail us.

I am no where near the border but have worked a lot with the Corps of Engineers. If you have a contract to build something for them and THEY. Terminate the contract the contractor will be healed financially!

The wall was not all talk. Two administrations tried vigorously to fix the problem and build a wall. The first was G.W. Bush in his last two years, until Obama got elected and construction came to an immediate halt.
The second president to address it was D.J. Trump. He started immediately on it, but bureaucrats on both sides stopped him; and Biden put the nail in the coffin when he came into power (notice I did not say elected).

How do I know this, because I either walked or rode a 4 wheeler across the mountains from Yuma, AZ to El Paso Texas in the Spring and Summer of 2008. Tons of infrastructure was being put into place then. Trump started the same thing as soon as he came to office, but pos bureaucrats on both sides pretty much shut down his first two years. Then pos democrats shut him down his last two years with Russian collusion and impeachments.

The short term border situation could be corrected in a matter of days. The long term solution could be helped in a matter of 24 months. No one wants to fix the border situation. Too many rich people love their drugs and too many ultra rich people love having sex with children. So, the border will remain open.

Much of our border is so porous that most of the smugglers just drive across. Vehicle walls in the form of Normandy barriers stop 85% of the traffic. Most of the border wall only needs vehicle barrier and some road infrastructure to help curtail the problem. The human walls (mostly bollard fences) are only built along crunch and pinch points near cities where the illegal aliens can be corralled. Here is some proof that the wall was being built prior to democratic administrations.

This is complete nonsense and you know it. Trump took boarder security seriously and was working to fix it. You can't deny that. The border patrol had his full support. The wall was going up despite considerable political opposition.

Do you realize that under Biden we are currently paying contractors NOT to complete the wall. Contracts that were put in place under Trump. I get it that you don't like Trump, but that does not change the facts.
