warrior OP trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 25,592 Georgia	While I've done some turtle trapping it wasn't enough to have used both or to form an opinion. I'm about to order some nets and just wondering what others think. While you're at any particular specs you like such as mesh size hoop size/type, etc.

Trapper7 trapper T Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 15,694 MN, Land of 10,000 Lakes	I never liked net style traps. I made my own traps out of galvanized 2X4 inch mesh wire. Traps are two feet wide, 4 feet long, and two feet high. They collapse flat, so you can transport quite a few at a time. Much easier to remove a snapper out of and easier to set. Turtle doesn't get all tangled up in any netting. We are told not to judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but are told to judge all gunowners by the actions of a few.

beaverfoot trapper B Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 335 Bossier city, Louisiana 71112	The flat throat seams to work better than the finger throat. With the finger throat they will get tangled in the fingers.The D Hoop nets that I make all have the flat throat in them. Dave 318-465-5961
