Well never mind I just stepped outside and woop, there it is. First frost this morning. Not here. The 13th is the latest frost on record for here so we are breaking records everyday.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Well never mind I just stepped outside and woop, there it is. First frost this morning. You must not be at your place on Lawrence.. I’m long north of that and I have 44 here and no sign of frost. Osky

I'm waiting a few more weeks before making any sets although I am heading "up nort" this weekend to do some scouting.

Well never mind I just stepped outside and woop, there it is. First frost this morning. I am about 15 miles North of you, Bernie, and had 39 this morning and no frost but I have a SW wind off the lake that keeps it warmer here. I am hoping for frost to kick off my bowhunting.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

No reason to land trap anything until at least November with this fur market.

Most farmers are still in the fields and I really hate losing traps to farm equipment and waiting a few more weeks lessens the chance of this happening. Cattle are still out in pastures and waiting a few weeks lessens the chance of them messing up my sets. Deer season is just around the corner and most LO's don't want me out in the woods scaring away "their" buck. Waiting a few more weeks keeps me in good graces with the LO's plus I really don't care to be out trapping with some of these deer hunters out in the field. Yes I'm excited to get out even with the low fur prices, but I can wait.
