Do you refuse to spend money to get good stuff, and use old broken down stuff instead? Do you get a dust cloud on the rare occasions you open your wallet? If your total at the store is $1.99 and you hand the cashier $2, do you wait for the penny?
If so you might might be cheap.
Let me tell you a story about when I used to be cheap.
Quite a few years back, I used to put a 1 oz bottle of lure in a quart of fish oil. It worked much better than plain fish oil by a long shot. One day my friend Ryan noticed that mt fish oil looked mighty clean. When he found out that I was putting 1 oz of lure in the bottle, he was aghast. How could I be so cheap? What in the heck was wrong with me? * He told me that I needed to put 4 oz in each quart. Now I was aghast. Lure is expensive. I can't afford to be peeing away money like that! He then beat me about the head and body with logic.
"How much does it cost to make a bottle of fish oil with 4 oz?"
"Oh, about $15."
"And how much do you get per coon?"
"About 10 - 15 I suppose."
"And how many sets do you make with a qt of oil?"
Oh, about 50, 60, maybe 75, depending on how much I waste by accident."
"And how many extra coon do you think you are going to get if you do it right?"
I was cured because he was right.
*I was cheap.

I make my own coon lure and bait, but I do buy the additives from lure dealers LOL
Still a gallon of lure might cost me $35 and that means I can be very liberal with its applications, leave scent trails to my sets etc
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure

The catch rate went up after my epiphany. By how much? 75 out of 32oz of fish oil is pretty good. What were your final results?
