Hard ground can be hard on stake pullers. This is a name brand puller. The end bent frown

I bent it back but figure I need to get tricky with the welder to fix it up right.

The one thing i havent bought yet. Always just pulled cable til it came out or broke otherwise i cut it. Chained stakes wont let me do that this year. Mtp used to have a big heavy duty one but now just the standard one. It doesnt look impressive. Anyone know someone who makes something you can kick the crap out of and it wont bend in half?

Run your dirt hole auger down next to the chain and pull it by hand.

Wish I had more time to trap....

I don’t use many steel stakes now but when I did this worked well for me. Just a piece of square tubing with a slot a on the bottom that slips under the washer of the stake, then I ran a bolt through the top end with a short tow chain loop then slip the handyman Jack in the chain and a few pumps it’s out. I’ve had a Jack bend a bit a time or two but it gets it done.

I don’t like straining my back.

My atv has a winch for just this purpose.
