My thought exactly ! I almost commented on that too, as you did.

There are magnificent builders in all walks of life on here. They need to post too cool

Thanks for starting the thread, Dan. The art and craftsmanship displayed is astounding. Sharon, wow me once again with a wolf or a wolverine. Where's Snowy with his wood carvings? Newhouse with his ivory carvings? Trey with his photos? The list could go on for pages and pages!

Ok, realized I haven't shared either so I better practice what I preach. LOL.

Trying to learn learn home tanning and I finished these yesterday. I caught the badger in a cat set last winter. The marten was a bucket list item. Had never caught a marten until last winter (not a lot of them in Utah) and finally took the time to make it happen. I caught a male and a female a couple hundred yards apart, two days apart. I had the male mounted ("Marty"). This is the female ("Martina").

This was actually done for the 2020 Alaska trappers spring fling,,,,,,,,,which was canceled. So I added the 21 to make it happen at the fling in 2021,,,,,,,,,,which was canceled. It is now in Alaska and AKHOWLER will figure out how to squeeze the most out of it to benefit the association. I need to home up with something I haven’t already done for 2022!

I’ve been reading here for years but haven’t posted. Building my own traditional hunting gear is one of my pastimes.

I like doing a lot of things but beside hunting and trapping I sure get a lot of enjoyment out of welding. Got two other projects in the works and a few brewing in my head. Sure got a few comments when I made this guy and put him by my driveway ! [Linked Image]

Pawnee, I highly value your contribution. Farmers feed the world. I spent two years in Japan 45 years ago. They had a tradition of eating every single grain of rice from their bowl. It was explained, they do this out of respect and to honor the farmers that labor so hard to provide our food. To this day I will not leave a grain of rice on my plate. Thankyou!
