I would love to agree with you --- however--- there are almost no manufacturers that get 100% of the raw materials from this country anymore. Lumber -- we ship logs and have them come back as structural. Steel -- we ship scrap and have it come back as structural. We don't even want to talk about our John Deere tractors or the raw materials to make pe or pvc pipe. the U.S. is not a manufacturing country anymore -- that is a huge problem. We have regulated ourselves out of the manufacturing industry. I have no doubts about the quality of the workforce (although diminishing). and don't want to make this a union thing, but, we don't produce anything anymore.
