We have enough firepower to extinguish life on this planet dozens of times over, when once is quite enough. So it makes little difference how fast those missiles are, as the retaliation strike will be the end of things now and in the future. No matter who starts a nuclear war, no one will win it.
With the sheer amount of nuclear weaponry we have, we don't even have to fire them at China or Russia or Korea. Just blow up half of them over the pacific and half over the atlantic. The fallout and ensuing nuclear winter and failing of all electronics will suffice to bring whoever lives after a moth or two back into the stone age world wide.
