What's your favorite and have you had success with it helping you kill a deer at least 2 1/2 years old or older?

Not exactly what you asked. My answer is preorbital from every deer in the herd on a strategically placed vine onna trail. Within shooting range of stand. Get them hung early summer. Most deer walking by in hunting season cannot resist stopping over to take a whiff or make a deposit.

Absolutely NO scent of any kind is what I prefer.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

Same here. The best scent is no scent or should I say minimal scent. I have never been able to gain faith in any scent that I have used and it has been well over 15 years since I have used scent of any kind. In the last 10 years I have went 9 of 10 years on bucks 3 1/2 or better on my farm. In an area that is not known to have an older age structure.

Same way I check if they are a quality buck (15” antler spread) here in Delaware.

If you can figure out where a coyote will be within a couple feet you can figure out where a deer will be too. If that deer can smell your "lure" it can smell you. Learn to sit still. Learn to be patient. Sometimes your trap has to wait four or five days before that coyote comes back.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I was setting up a dripper with doe in heat scent today. . Made a scrape under it. Peed on it , before I left. There is always a scrape at this location. Heard where another fellow collected and hung them as an attractant. Will see how it works out. old243

Have had luck with trails end #307, evercalm and vs1, and fox hollows hair raiser. Every urine scent I have used over the years seemed to spook does, jmo

A lot of guys pee in scrapes and I've done so myself. One thing I do different is store up my own urine and mix it with a synthetic and spray it around my stand site. Sounds crazy, doesn't it?! I thought so too but I'm not the one who came up with the idea. I read about it and thought it sounded just crazy enough that there might be something to it. It absolutely attracts deer, buck and does alike. I don't use it every season but I will be this year. I have a spray bottle dedicated to that purpose. I'll let you know how I make out using it this season.

I have used Code Blue in the past during the rut. Can't say for sure that it works because I got basically the same reaction using it as crappy Tinks 69. I do use the Evercalm and I can guarantee that it works great. Not for attracting but for the general disposition of the animal.
