Of course everyone has the right to fly any flag they wish.

I admit to bias when I see one of those flags. I tend to think that the owner is probably one of those boneheads who think their own ignorance is just as good as someone else's knowledge. (But ignorance is never as good as knowledge.) Somebody who doesn't care who he may hurt or offend. Not somebody I'd likely be able to have an intelligent discussion with, without him trying to pound me into the ground.

That's my own bias, as I said. I'm working on trying to stamp out my biases, but sometimes it's a struggle.

I have one in my shop. It's the same one I had in college. It was fine to fly it then and I'm not getting rid of it. A large US flag flies in front of my house.

I am not a southerner but I did watch the Dukes of Hazzard as a kid. I wanted a 1969 orange Dodge Charger and the flag is all I got.

It's too bad that a bunch of nut job extremists and even more woke nut job social engineers ruined for what my generation just meant "rebel".

Exactly. And I find that offensive that they feel that way. But, people like me don't count.

I find it offensive that because of the color of their skin people say, "Black Lives Matter". Yet, that same rule doesn't apply if you say, "All Lives Matter".
I find it offensive that males are allowed to compete with women in sports.
I find it offensive that Target allows men to use women's rest rooms and changing rooms.
These are a few things that are offensive to me because of moral values and common sense, something this country is losing rapidly.

How are hippies fine with the US declaration of independence. It nothing but crying and whining with an entire section that is hate for Savages. Its way worse than any flag could ever be. But it was written to inspire militias to sign up and fight. So you tell them what they want to hear. But after Independence George Washington did a lot of genocidal raids. So the hate for the savages was a real thing. But if Americans ever actually concentrated about there complete history and not just the parts that they want to complain about they would never get anything done. Every country has its historical wrongs.
There is no reason that the Confederate flag can not be reinvented as a symbol of change in the south and a brighter future of cooperation. But that would give people one less thing to be upset about.

For me, its a little bit of a conundrum. As ya'll know, I am a Kraut but live in east Tennessee. I was in the German forces way back when Jesus was a cowboy, " defending" the west from the evil communist forces .... or so i was told. ...... Now those very communist forces are trying to run the government of the country that I live in, that used to be a member of the NATO pact but is now giving away weapons to terrorist organizations.
That leads me to the only logical conclusion for me. ..... Protect me and my family from anyone or anything that is trying to infringe on our freedom.
I know some twat on here will come up with the anchor wife BS and whatnot ..... let them ... no skin of my nose.
