No scent, just don't wash my bow hunting clothes to avoid them smelling like soap or cleaner. So you would rather your clothes smell like human body oder and sweat? They make a soap called Sports Wash that has no oder's for hunters. Baking soda in the washer warm water load

I used to extract skunk essence from their glands when I caught some while trapping with a syringe. Kept the scent in a plastic pill bottles. Deer hunting I would douse my stand with the scent using it as a cover scent. I've had deer walk right underneath my deer stand many times. I remember when I was in high school out on a date. It was nearing deer season and I didn't have any skunk scent. I spotted a deer hit on the road. I got out and cut the scent gland out of the skunk, put it in a plastic bag and in the trunk. Girl never went out with me again. Whoops! I meant a skunk hit on the road. A deer and I might have had a second date with that girl.
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

[quote=HobbieTrapper]Is this a mature buck and how old would he be.
My estimation would be 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 years old.
Too filled out in the body to be less than 3-1/2 but doesn't have the mass and character that should start showing at the 5-1/2
My guess is 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 Can't go by mass on the antlers for age. TONS of things can affect that from year to year. Drought early can cause the deer not to have mass.

I’m learning something here. So it’s not likely a mature buck would make a scrape this close to human activity? That's were the trail cam needs to be EVERY buck around will walk by it or work it depending on how big the "big dog" there is.I've seen little bucks move over 10 feet and make another scrape instead of using the dominant one.

Watching the show North Woods Law, I think they decide a legal buck by measuring the distance between the antlers. How are you supposed to judge that?

I agree that tons of things can affect mass and even overall inches from year to year. Once they get past 4-1/2 most but not all start to show some character In the form of stickers etc. in my area. Getting past 3-1/2 in my area is their biggest hurdle.
