It was reported that the actor Alec Baldwin shot and killed a woman and injured a man on a movie set in New Mexico with a prop gun. The woman was the director of photography and the man the film director. Police are investigating the incident.

It's not surprising, alec baldwin is always recklessly and mindlessly shooting his mouth off. His career should have been over when he verbally abused his daughter the way he did. He likely showed the same lack of care and thought with the firearm.

I seen a news story this morning that said the gun wasn't a "prop gun" rather a real gun and persons on set failed to verify that the ammo it the gun was not live ammo.

Next, they will even want to ban caulking guns.

I saw a story on Brandon Lee death. Inert rounds (bullet no powder) were used to film a sequence looking at the business end of a revolver, so the end of the loaded cylinder would be visible. One of the bullets was loose in its case and got into the barrel. When the gun was reloaded with full power blanks, it was basically live ammo.
