Every shotgun patterns differently so there is no answer. BB to #4 buck will kill coyotes. Takes lots of testing to find one that patterns well at 50 yards. A screw in choke is almost a must.

Give an illegal alien a fish and he eats for a day. Deport him and you never have to feed him ever again!

I hate 00 buck for coyotes. #2 or BB lead and shoot them in the head.

1) the mighty 10 stuffed with cooper plated BB's was a long time stand by

2) any 12 gauge load with heavier than lead #4-BB's

Copper plated BB shot had taken a lot of coyotes

Federal used to offer a #1 buck load in their flite control wad that by all reports was a long range wonder. By the time I became aware of it they had sold out with no plans to make any more.

No. Hornady sells some nickle plated ones though. IF you could find them.

#2 birdshot good out to 60 yards I shot 4 and 3 buckshot but had several “walk thru the pattern “ that was running straight at me
Hundreds of test patterns shooting news paper on the side of a barn Modified choke will out shoot full in bigger pellets But with bigger pellets yote dead on might not get enough shot to kill it

I definitely need to do some patterning with my CV. I did (SOME PATTERNING) a few years back when I first bought the gun but can't remember the results. I still have some Dead coyote that I bought when it was only outrageously priced (instead of second mortgage priced like it seems to be these days). But jeez, I feel bad to even shoot the stuff these days.

#4 buck is my preferred with bb or 2 coming in second/third. In my area most shots are either brush -- less than 50 yds, or open field 150 yds +.
