Looks like fall is officially here to stay. fall smells,rain,cool weather. I thought I would let the fire go out the last 3 days but it may be here for the duration all winter now.

I let my fire go out yesterday, it was close to 70 outside, but when I start it again today it will probably burn until May 2022.

We only got 44 yesterday so I let mine smolder.

Do y'all have a grate and an ash pan under the firebox? I don't know why anyone every started making stoves without grates and ash boxes but most of'em do now. Reeediculous

Mine has the ash box with a partially broken grate LOL.

I have not even started mine yet. I hope to make it another week or so before momma starts complaining about wanting a fire.

Have been burning 3 days now to get the chill out of the house. Grate and home made ash pan makes clean out much easier. Mine didn't come with a pan.. Like stated don't know why you would build a stove without either one. Still need to clean out the area under the pan occasionally so the pan fits back nicely.

I just hooked one up in my garage.
