Do any of you all use one and are they good or not? Being diabetic I was told they would be a good way to prepare some foods.

I love mine. It's on the smaller side because it's usually just me and my daughter I'm cooking for.

Some of the things I've cooked in mine...

Hard boiled eggs
Grilled cheese
Acorn squash
Hot dogs
Pork steak
Duck breast
Mini corn dogs
Pizza rolls
Chicken nuggets
Chicken

I'm about to put some batches of pumpkin seeds in tonight.

You cannot beat French fries in the air frier…straight up great. Also chicken tenders.

I did a cut up chicken and thought it was awfully greasy. A mess to clean up but I hate grease.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I like mine so well I bought 2.

I don't like the full sized unit nearly as well as the smaller one that has a cup style fryer. Cut up spuds and toss them in. Shake every 5 minutes for about 15 minutes and the best taters you've had....and good for you that way.

It's the only way to re heat meat as well. Chicken, beef, venison all heats up real nice...Even if breaded.

Tlguy, how do you hard boil eggs in it?

In mine we've done tacos, tostadas, wings, chicken tenders, country fried steak, potatoes, fries, sweet potato fries, cinnamon rolls, chicharones. Our air fryer is built into the Blackstone grill

Never understood the hype. It is just a mini oven.

Because it takes 3 minutes to preheat instead of 15 and isn't a huge energy waste when I just want to "fry" up some chicken nugs for me and the kid. But you're right, it is just a countertop convection oven.

I still haven't nailed down the temp/time for the eggs, I've found it depends on the size of the eggs. Mediums take less time than jumbos.

We been using one for a while. My wife and daughter uses it all the time. My son has a big one and cooks all kind of stuff. It’s a good way to go for healthy cooking. The one we have is chefman. I don’t know if it’s a good brand, but, they like it. [Linked Image]

Seems like we use ours almost daily. One thing I don't care for is bacon. The list of stuff we've in the fryer is too long to write down. Also works great for reheating leftovers. Can',t think of the name of it, but it has 3 steel mesh trays.

Replaced my oven with a glass top from lowes with a built in air fryer and a dehydrator. Air fryer mac and cheese is the the best.

This was my experience trying to cook chicken. Still clucking in the center, never could get it done. Or by the time you did get it done it would be dryer than a popcorn fart. I just had a cheap one from Amazon so that could have contributed to the problem.

I won't cook meat in it, but fries and other things are good in it

Gotta live up to the nickname...
