I'm up a couple new turtle nets I just got. Thanks, beaverfoot. Great looking nets and great service getting them to me.

So, I'm not a turtle trapper but I've caught a few and I've got a job for getting them out of a pond. I was casting about for an idea on the side stretcher poles and came up with this.

3/8 fiberglass muskrat rods with fence clips hooked to the rings of the net.

Ought to make for easy assembly in the field.

Looks like it oughta work!
Are there many skunks in your area Warrior? I was wondering if Florida had many skunks between Tampa and Orlando area.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Skunks are hit or miss. Mostly hit on the road, lol.

The population is scattered in pockets of good numbers with lots of empty in between. I chalk it up to two things. One we have both rabies and distemper so I suspect that is a limiting factor and the areas with better numbers seem to have the better habitat of older rural with structures with rubble foundations, or some areas of rocky field stone.

I don't get to many calls for skunks, maybe once a year, but I'm closer to Atlanta and to find skunks you got to get out in the country.

Interesting, I just use pvc with a notch cut on one end and a piece of wire on the other.

If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

Would it be possible to add a Ls to those poles so you can target muskrats also?
