Where I’m moving there is wolves but you aren’t aloud to trap them so any I catch will have to be released. If I catch one in a coyote set should I pull the trap or just reset it? Not sure if it would spook coyotes or maybe attract more wolves

Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

Check your states regs and be sure you are not required to notify your warden or other agent involved in Wolf management.
In my state out of season catches must be reported within 24hrs..

You're not required to notify anybody in case of a wolf catch here, unless there's something I don't know about.I'd yank the trap, unless you want to take a chance on releasing another wolf

Only things we have to turn in here is a report at the end of the year on incidentals, unless it's an out of season catch that's dead and then we turn those in to the local F&G guy.

Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand

My guess you will need to move and change out traps. I have seen what wolves do to a coil spring trap.
