Is there a way for me to make sets for fox without risking a wolf coming in and getting educated? For my wolf sets I can just make the pan tension higher so foxes don't set them off.

How would I make a dirt hole set with 1.5s for foxes without risking the wolves setting them off too?

Put up a no wolves allowed sign...

Ok, now that, that is out of the way.

I don't have any experience with wolves so my opinion and $1 will get you a cup of coffee almost nowhere.

I say, you try with how far your trap is away from the hole and maybe some guiding to keep him from stepping on it. I would assume a wolf wouldn't even step on the pan if the trap is close enough to the hole and he checks it out. But a fox would be right on it.

Make some wolf sets and snare the fox. When a wolf knocks a snare down it wont be spooked

I think in that situation I would use urine post sets for wolves and try to clean out the foxes with the dirt holes. Traps set tight to the hole

Only thing that might be close to garaunteed is if you can find or make spots that physically excludes the wolves from getting to the trap.

Hmm. Thanks for the replies. Given the price tag on the wolf bounty right now I think I'll save fox traps for another time or place.
