Hello
Everybody has a different way of staking or anchoring foothold traps for fox / coyotes so I’m looking for input on peoples preferred methods- I’m running MB-550s

do you like drags , or have a home made thing rigged up ?

Thanks
Rusty

I prefer drags or extensions(either cable or chain) where possible. Then bullet stakes w/ retrieval ends.

Hey boco
Is a clog basically a drag with some sort of shock absorber?

Heavy weight, on a shorter chain than a drag.Animal can move it but it tires it out quickly,so often goes less distance than a drag.Goes to cover and lay down to recover, also keeps the animal from fighting the trap as much since it does not get hung up in one spot.In that respect it is like its own shock absorber.
A heavy clog is especially good for large animals.
