Not Alec's fault. Don't like the guy but it's not his fault. Excuse me, but it is totally his fault. 1 All guns are loaded, always 2 Never let the muzzle cover anything you're not willing to destroy 3 Never touch the trigger until the sights are on target 4 Know thy target and what beyond it Violation of all four in my book. But, but it was said he was told cold gun. DID HE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO CONFIRM THAT? Guilty of gross negligence resulting in one homicide and one aggravated assault. ^^^ This ^^^^

?? The movie was supposed to be a western?? Wasn't the gun a semi auto?? Must of been a modern western in an old time setting?? IMO, baldwin is an arrogant, no it all, second rate movie star, creep. Hope he is judged by a group of 12 peers. It was a pietta SAA clone in 45 colt. He was supposedly practicing a cross draw.

If someone handed you a gun and said " It's empty " would you point it at someone and pull the trigger? My thoughts exactly! My father taught me at a very early age that if someone hands you a gun and says" It's not loaded" you never take their word for it. Instead, you point it in a safe direction and check it out yourself.

My take is the prop guy is responsible. This is a movie set where I am sure mishandling of props happens often. (Meaning say point a prop gun at someone) If this one time the gun was loaded the person who loaded it is responsible. How many of you have ever played cowboys and Indians with empty BB guns? What if you friend put a BB in it thinking it would be cool. Are you at fault or your friend. The people on the movie set are just big kids playing a game.
Wish I had more time to trap....

What if you friend put a BB in it thinking it would be cool. Are you at fault or your friend. The people on the movie set are just big kids playing a game. which prop guy ? the one who quit on the third ND on set ? or the prop assistant who suddenly got promoted to head prop person when the knowledgeable employees quit and walked off set because they knew the place was a tragedy ready to happen with all the negligence. if the captain and co-pilot on a 747 walk off the air craft sighting it is not safe and the airline promotes the stewardess to pilot and says stay on time stay on budget and then proceeds to have the plane crash off the end of the run way killing some passengers and injuring others. does the airline bear no responsibility ? I am not saying murder , but death resulting from gross negligence and there is a bunch of that to go around the producer on set and the trigger man were one and the same person , he gets negligence for pulling the trigger , not checking the gun , and not stopping everything and examining the safety protocol on the first and every subsequent ND. basically Cabela's front door guy has better procedure for ensuring safety than they were using on the set of this film. and why , it would appear pure arrogance , usually an ND makes people STOP and examine everything they were doing and how it happened and how to make that never happen again. these people do not and did not learn from their mistakes , it is then in the interest of the publics safety that they never be allowed access to the tools they so negligently miss used. I have been next to an ND and I have had an ND (no injuries or laws broken) you can learn from it or you can lie to yourself and be a danger to yourself and others. I choose to learn from both

IMO anyone who pics up or is handed a gun has responsibility to double check it is loaded or not and keep it pointed in a safe direction. I don't see Baldwin guilty or murder but based on the facts given I'd say he is definitely guilty of negligence that lead to death and injury

With the billions they spend on movies they can’t come up with a short chambered barrel and blank rounds really? Low budget corner cutting production with little to no practical knowledge of gun safety.
You can hire me to be your brain surgeon but your going to die I’m sure of that. LOL

Somebody knew that gun was loaded. One thing the armorers lawyers mentioned was there was at least 1 live round in the box of blanks. Any of the disgruntled employees could've placed it in there to sabotage the scene.
