I would think the bass is more of a "trophy". Even in N.C. a bass that large would have beat a lot more odds than most bucks that grow 10 antler points. I have seen 18 month old deer with spindly 10 point antlers.

Our state record is 10 lbs here for bass, and that has stood since late 1960s. Our local biologists doubt it will ever be beat, they just don't get that big around here. So...the 10 pound bass would be holy grail for me. I've caught 8.5s and that was as close as I ever got. A 26" bass, and a 25" bass, both hit 8.5 pounds on our scale, those were my Nebraska bests. Lots of hours and private pond fishing. Still trying, but having my own doubts too. The 10 pt deer wouldn't be that hard here, lots of those around, but the bass definitely would be a next level quest in our state. Jim My pair of 8.5s...
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Because you can shoot a basket-racked ten point, I'd say the ten pound bass...
