The fur market as a whole has taken even more of a turn for the worse in the past few days. (I didn’t think it possible)
Anyone else heard anything?
Information I got came from a big Midwest buyer.
This is getting depressing.
I know many are going to trap regardless. Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything similar?

I just looked up his website It says nothing about closing the doors.

I heard they have things on hold.

I'm just a trapper, with the current state of the fur market, I don't think there are going to be many buyers wanting to pay much if anything for carcass animals this year. Unless, they have a taxidermy market there selling into, or there into the bait market and need the carcass.

Theres like 5 buyers left in the country.

What happened?Is it another downturn in a already depressed market or is something political?

With the cost of truck rentals and four dollar diesel, maybe more by then, I doubt Fur Harvesters will pick up fur either. But then again, a lot can happen in 3-6 months.....either way!

I'd say, like any market, those that have the actual info will be unwilling to share. How else would you control the "market"?
