I had read some articles from earlier this spring about the new owners of Remington that stated they planned to have new firearms on the shelves by hunting season (they said there first priority would be 870s and 700s). Has anybody seen new Remingtons on the shelf of their local firearms depot..?
Thanks Dagger, Im curious if those are leftover stock. They dont have many models in stock and absolutely no 20 gauge in stock. I will continue to watch their website for updates.
I went through the gun sections at a couple of local stores yesterday. I am seeing some Rem 700 ADL rifles. I did not look at any scatter guns, so not sure on the 870's.
I would assume that all leftover stock was bought up quickly. I know for a fact that site did not have 870's in stock 6 months ago. It would make sense that they bring their most common sellers back first. 308 and 30-06 Model 700 and 12 Ga 870
Beware of internet scammers who claim to have Remington firearms. One site recently looked very much like a Remington factory ad that was selling guns to you directly. Remington has never sold guns direct. You always had to go through a licensed distrubitor. I doubt if that has changed recently or ever will.
I see there is a blue line brand 870 copy out now , yes it is a Chinese 870 , it appears to be the H&R pardner pump which was a almost 870 clone imported by Remington and sold under the H&R name the furniture form the 870 would fit , the barrels were close enough that they made a spacer to make an870 barrel work on a H&R but you could not go the other direction
the blue line claims furniture compatibility so it is likely just the H&R under a new name with a new importer
this guy doesn't apparently understand a Maverick 88 is a Mossberg and not a clone but other than that he is a cop and dislikes firemen apparently but it lets you see how very close it is
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
We have had 870's on the shelf for at least a month. No sign of any rifles though.
Are these the "new" Remington 870's ? Do you have a contact phone number for the new Remington manufacturers ? Thanks, Vic
Here's the number for RemArms, 315.895.3200
This is a new entity, RemArms. I'm not sure if the guns are the same as the original, say 870 or a copy, but they are still using the same manufacturing equipment Remingon Arms used.
RemArms has been manufacturing new guns since the beginning of MAY in Ilion, NY.
