Its sneaky, but it's like RIGHT behind her. Full side view of her head, and she's looking left.

He had to tell me there was more than two!

We need some venison. I am waiting for the Jan doe season. Here in KS you cant buy doe tags till you buy a pricey either sex tag otherwise. I just want meat. Dont have a use for antlers. That either sex tag is just to high. Same reason I dont buy a turkey tag. Costs more for the tag than a already dressed domestic turkey costs in the grocery store. A lot more. our Wildlife and Parks department has lost its collective mind with all the fees they want to kill animals they will take 0 responsibility for.

Here you get fishing and small game for $10. Or fishing, small game, deer gun, and spring turkey for $25. Or fishing, small game, archery, primitive, deer gun, spring AND fall turkey for $45. I think those prices are pretty fair. I only ever need the fishing and small game license, since all the deer shooting I do is on my own land and no license is required for that.

We used to have a Department of Wildlife. Now its wildlife and parks. The parks are campgrounds for old men with motorhomes. License fees subsidize those campgrounds that come with water, sewer and electricity at every site along with bathrooms and shower buildings for those who dont want to use the facilities in their campers or who dont set up with rv's.

Wildlife is managed today to maximize profit for the state and the department of wildlife and parks. When I complained to them about license fees I was told very matter of factly that hunting for meat was discouraged. It was no longer their concern. Hunting was about the experience of hunting. So I guess (my words not theirs) killing for fun. I guess human predators are like river otter now.

Ang, your lucky MS isn't known for deer with large antlers or that would change

Do you make the lure body your self? Or get them unpainted? Is that just a small vise? Or large bait? I can't tell the scale on that lure.
I've shot lot bucks with racks like that over the years. They are pretty good eating.

Mac, I make it all musky lures from scratch out of clear cedar and other woods.

Every musky I have caught this year aside from 2 have been caught on homemade lures. Feels kind of cool.

This lure is about 12" long. I is an obvious giant copy of a j plug, but the action underwater is random and unreal. Wanders, shoots forward, darts...selfdom does the same thing twice. I think its gonna be killer.

When my wife still had her craft business. I made bunch different wood baits on lathe just spinning them from soft pine. Funny part is don't think even one ever got fished with. Unless the people who bought them took the hooks will no points and replaced them. They were all sold as ornaments to hang on Christmas trees. Lol!
I was always going to make some large way over size baits. Kind you see hanging in someone's yard or at resort.
I did once make couple actual working baits for guy. Never followed up with him so no idea if ever caught a musky on them.
I think it cool you make them.

I made this decoy and couple others to fit in 330. Had them set underwater try catch an otter. The decoys turned out good. Catching an otter using them was a fail. I kept this one and gave the others away to someone that thought they were cool looking.

The hooks are missing on this one because it just caught a musky and I cut them off.

Wow that is true art work. That first bait looks like you skinned a walleye used the hide. That's really cool.
