Gas 65% used cars 31% meat 28% cleaning supplies 35% building materials 19% That is lower because the October spike of 2020 had already taken some materials up 400%
So what has fallen to get the overall inflation rate to 6.2. Real rates would be so bad that the dems couldn’t just say Americans don’t understand!!

if you look at the very specific items that make up the CPI consumer price index you can show 6% maybe you might even have to cherry pick which of those items you look at

raw materials for building durable goods are a lot more than that

For the last 40 years the things that go up faster than cpi is a huge list. To list a few: Education, Medical Care, Housing, etc. CPI is the number that the government uses to adjust entitlement payouts. Not everything is about the Biden

I think all those "We are Hiring!" signs I saw in IL,WI, and MN tells where the labor market is. I won't mention the" $1000 signing bonus" signs.

The number that gets me is the unemployment rate. There’s no way 90 to 95 % of people are working. It more like 65% here.

You know how sometimes when you read a news article there's a little poll at the bottom of it? I did one of those polls this morning. One question was are you: a) working outside the home b) working from home c) not working due to not finding a job or d) not working by choice. I was completely shocked when they showed the results. 65% said not working by choice.
