Good on you. We shot a good number of ringnecks in CA, and they are more common all the time. They were called "blackjacks" by many and good eating too.

I did a gator tour in Florida years ago in the winter, and pretty sure it was these guys we kept running over.

They would pop out the back of the air boat and fly away lol

We call them mud ducks where I come from. How do they taste compared to a grain fed mallrd?

Not sure about grain fed, as we have no farms here, but divers are generally all in their own category.

Bufflehead, ringneck, scaup, goldeneye...all just a bit stronger than the puddle ducks

Nice pile of Ducks Hutchy.
Late fall down that way?
Just snow dust here and water still open.
Usually on the ski doos this time of year-Very unusual fall this year.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Hutchy mostly ring necks by the looks but one or two are different e.g. one on far left. What other kind(s) are in there?

Good deal. Ringneck breasts fried up in butter or bacon grease is fine dining in my book...Not many birds here. We need a cold snap

I see two redheads and they are not GIRLS

The last 3 months they have been grain feed= wild rice that is

nice string of birds Hutchy
the last system we got must have pushed them over to their wintering areas

Check the wing scapula feathers to see the difference. Redheads have a white trailing edge.

Yes, very warm Oct and first part of nov.

Ponds usually froze now. They haven't had ice on them yet.

Happy to be able to water trap after deer season though.
