BigRed55 OP trapper Joined: Sep 2021 Posts: 45 New Hampshire	Went and set my traps in the water Sunday afternoon on a brook a few properties down rom my house. Found a little patch of land in the middle with old and new sign (chewed sticks, downed trees, drag) so I set up 2 castor mound sets with my duke 330's and Dobbin's Backbreaker. I checked the traps last night after work not expecting anything but pulled out my first beaver, a 50 pounder! Absolutely ecstatic about it. Feels like the trapping version of getting a deer. Took my time to skin it and think I did a good job. Very happy to have the meat in the freezer as well. This was my goal for the season; if I catch nothing else, I'd still be happy.
