Well I reckon I'm kinda figuring this out. The gas mileage sure makes up for the lil bit of walking i gotta do. Wish we could road trap here though .Problem is I'm still trying to figure out what imma do about live market. Think I could just muzzle and hog tie a grey and toss the lil critter over my shoulder for the walk back to the car ? laugh

Why carry it. Muzzle and a leash, teach it to lead.

You can stick a Grey Fox in a mid size cat carrier. You can buy the carriers used for around $10.00.

You can carry it out like a suitcase. Duct tape is your friend.

Ground clearance is a big downside. [Linked Image]

Back when I was in High School we trapped a lot of fox and walked a few of them home using a choke pole that we made to show our moms & dads.

I've walked coyotes out on catchpoles. Although really it's mostly dragging.

I've put a few live skunks in a cage trap in the trunk of a car on occasion. Cardboard under trap to protect trunk floor.

Luckily , never got rear-ended in an automobile accident doing it. sick

Use a feed sack. Have put numerous red fox, gray fox, and coyotes in them. Tie the top shut with wire and they will be fine.

Wolf i trapped out of a car trunk for years. For several years I trapped put of trunk of a little green Toyota Tercel.
I lined the trunk with a tarp. That trunk held a ton of beaver and coyotes.
But the car got 30 mpg and it was efficient until the snow flew. Park and walk in.
Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
