I was holding out for a mule deer but after seeing him all week I took him before the weekend and the butt load of hunter hitting that public land.

Younger mules will often have a 3x3 configuration. As they age, they develop the fork in the upper tines. When they are at this stage, they have that weird look. Also when they are spikes, is it a mulie fork horn or whitetail?

It’s upper right horn is forked can’t see it from the pic. 4x3 he was 2x bigger than my whitetail body size.
