My wife was raised on beans and hamburger. 2 pounds hamburger one can pork and beans. We ate it so much when we were first married I can’t look at it. Second is fried noodles. A bit of any boil noodles and a dash of vegetable oil. Turn on the heat and fry them

Shepard's Pie home raised potatoes, carrots, onions, peas and sweet corn with home raised lamb and mutton Garlic, beef broth, other spices to taste. Our recipe makes a 9 by 13 cake pan per batch. Soon we will mix some venison in with the mutton.
Bryce Nice. Wife made it tonight. Mashed potatoes on top. 3 pounds of hamburger with a can of corn mixed in. Good stuff

road Kill edition
Venison road kill cubed 2 pounds
about 3 pounds Kwik Trip sells them at 39 cents a pound
carrots about 65 cents a pound about a pound
onions also 39 cents a pound at Kwik Trip half pound
celery 89 cents a pound about 1/4 pound
bay leaf , salt ,
put it all in a crock pot and on high for about 6 hours then low or keep warm
your about 2.75 and it makes several servings figure 10 so your per serving cost is around 30 cent
perpetual pot you just keep going add more ingredients after supper each night , turn to high and let it go about 6 hours it builds flavor and you always have hot and ready to eat food

Cube some beef or deer meat into bite size chunks. Salt and pepper it. Mix 2 small or one large package of brown gravy mix as per instructions and dump it into crockpot. Throw in your meat chunks. Can add some diced onion if you want. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours. About a half an hour before you want to eat, take the lid off the crockpot and turn it to high to thicken up the gravy. If it's still not thick enough, mix a heaping tablespoon of cornstarch into a half cup of cold water and dump that in and let it go another 15 minutes or so. Serve over rice, mashed taters, or pasta. If you don't have gravy packets, you can make it by using beef bouillon or beef broth... and increasing the corn starch to 2 T at the end.

Spam Fried Rice INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided 2 large eggs, beaten 2 cloves garlic, minced 6 ounces Spam, diced 1 cup frozen peas and carrots 3 cups cooked rice (cold, day-old rice works best) 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil 1/4 teaspoon white pepper 2 green onions, sliced
DIRECTIONS: 1. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add eggs and scramble, breaking up into small pieces. Remove eggs to add at the end.
2. Heat remaining 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in the skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and Spam, and cook, stirring often, until light golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
3. Add peas and carrots. Cook, stirring constantly, until vegetables are tender, about 1-2 minutes.
4. Add rice and gently toss to combine and separate grains.
5. Add soy sauce, sesame oil and white pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until heated through, about 1-2 minutes.
6. Stir in green onions and eggs.

What the second ingredient? Taters? well this is the old and cheap recipe no potatoes for me any more , more carrots , turnips and a parsnip now. it adds to the price but cheaper than insulin in more than just dollars
