Dug out the old 2-stroke.Cold weather coming to tighten up the swamps. One more snowfall and its time to run some bush trails and do some exploring.

I don't know much about snowmobiles. How old is that one? How much does it weigh? Fuel mileage? That is my older machine.2009 weighs around 400lb.Way hard on gas compared to the 4 stroke.Wont use the 4 stroke until deeper snow or if I go in to the north line later to break trail. Gonna drop off the 4 stroke for some mtc at the dealer.I could do the mtc myself but he sells some of my fur articles in his showroom so I like to give him some buisness. He also gives me great deals on new stuff

I will take enough fur to keep the line healthy, probably spend most of the winter maintaining trails at my leisure and putting up firewood at the cabins and just kicking back this year. I have a good few marten to guage the market at the march international sale.

Good stuff Boco. I fired up my sleds about a week ago, of course from the day I do that it’s six more weeks of fall before the snow comes.

LOL,Osky. i remember one year we had about 2 foot of snow at christmas, had a bunch of marten traps out and we got a mid winter thaw for 3 days with rain-not one bit of snow left. Back in the day I was running an elan with bogie wheels,so I ran the line over the N----heads on bare ground -what a long rough ride. Had to do it. All the caught marten would have been greenbellied slippers if I had waited for snow.

He said it worked last time he ran it we have 2 the other for parts ita beautiful sled I got a buddy I went to high school with that is president of the local vintage snowmobile club. They have every old snowmachine ever made from the 60's and the 70's. They race them on the lake for the Cochrane winter carnival. He showed me my old TNT-1972 model 340 twin.i sold it to him in High school and he still has it -restored to its former glory, lol.
