Bobby made his first catch yesterday to add to his first caribou this past fall. We checked his snares a few times with no luck but he always fixed them and said maybe next time. Yesterday we pulled up to the trail and I said “no fresh tracks” Bobby said “ that doesn’t mean we didn’t catch anything. Maybe it came from the other side”
Well he was right. His lynx came off the lake and he nailed it with a 1/16 1x19 snare. So awesome to have a little partner with such a great attitude. I always tell him if you can set a snare you can catch pretty much anything we have to catch. Can’t wait to get him out to wolverine country now. I’ll set him loose with a backpack full of 3/32 snares. He reset the snare in the same spot
