I wonder if Marlin ever made one like the 39A? If so I would have to have one. I will also own a 10/22 mag someday.

... that 39a is the one right there ... met a kid a couple years ago that hauled one around in the back of his truck... getting rained on and everything... he wouldn’t sell it lol

If you want a little more pop than LR step up to a 22 hornet

I have two 700’s and love them. Ones a worker and the other is nicer. They came with flush mount 5 round removable magazines and optional 10 rounders that extend a bit.

Savage makes an A22 mag that is a good shooter but plastic. Volquartzen gets a second vote from me, but magnum research are nice too.

what do you find the benefit of the 22mag that a 223 doesn't do ?

pelt damage is a legit answer

what does the 22mag do that a 223 down loaded to 22 hornet velocities couldn't?

I just haven't needed a 22 mag yet

Apparently not many folks have the ruger 1022M. Love mine!

I got me a Marlin semiautomatic 22mag. Still shoots well even after breaking the walnut stock half in two over a deer that refused to assume room temperature. Seemed to just anger him. He did finally succumb, but that's a story for another day. Statute of limitations and such.

discontinued and they get stupid crazy money for them now

you could buy 3 of the ruger americans for less than a 10/22 mag goes for now

I'd like to get a Magnum Research but will most likely stick to my 35 year old Marlin.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

I have one and a bolt Marlin in .22 Mag also. I HAD a model 61 Winchester in that caliber too but sold it along with my Winchester collection a number of years ago. I also had the model 94 M but traded that off too.

I wish I could give these guns the use that they deserve

They discontinued the ruger 1022 magnum because of a design flaw.
The bolts cracked over time because they were not designed strong enough to handle the pressure of the magnum cartridge.

I wish that I could find a semi auto or left handed bolt that was threaded for a can in 22 mag or 17 HMR.

I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. O Lord please don't let me be misunderstood.
