Good luck to all hunters, I hope your 50th hunt is a good one Lugnut.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

My stand for the morning, could use some Dramamine with all the swaying going on.

[Linked Image]

Every season I count the number of shots the first half hour and the number of shots the first hour. This morning it was 11 shots the first half hour and 17 shots the first hour. That is in the top five of the fewest shots I’ve heard early on an opening day. Some of that was the wind drowning out the far away shots but that doesn’t account for all of it.

That stand doesn't look that high to sway and bother you.
I like deer hunting right when the wind let up.

It's not, it's only 15' and the swaying wasn't bothering me. I was just going along with wetdog's joke, forgot to add a grin or LOL.

Killed this shed buck two nights ago in the swamp behind my house. It was a tough drag out, I was happy for the snow.

That's a big doe in the first pic. Congrats on a great season.
I see some of the van load of lumber from sometime back.
