Think a paddle holster easy on easy off less likely to not leave it behind that way, I like a leather holster over plastic types way less sweaty issues. My 42 stays in it at all times for safety taking it on and off.

I am more picky about a holster for a Glock than for any other gun for obvious reasons and like Jerry I leave mine in the holster when I take it off so I can always have one in the chamber

Same as Jerry and Leftlane, I leave my Sig holstered with the IWB for safety reasons. It has a steel belt clip that makes the holster pretty easy to put on and take off.

for competition or daily carry ?
high ride or low ?
passive or active retention ?
the Glock 34 is the big competition glock with the 5 inch barrel
the 43 is a sub compact single stack

It is the Glock 34, the holster will be for comfortably carrying while in the woods (fishing and hiking). Concealable, yes! But not necessarily everyday CCW.

if you want to go waist carry I would go belt rather than paddle , then I would go something with some solid active retention https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101940747?pid=991783or this one https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1338199109?pid=106036 has a paddle and belt loops and a thumb operated retention system , paddle is nice for taking off your gun when you need to run into the post office and keeping the gun holstered , for the woods I would keep it on the belt rather than the paddle being that your looking for a woods carry holster , retention so that if you take a roll own a hill , push through a thicket or slip on a rock and take a swim your gun stays put basically a cop duty holster
