SOP for tires off the bead around here. The cheap walmart either don't work, need to get prestone or other higher end starting fluid to work proper.

Done that many times over the years but on smaller tires. As previously stated, you need the old time ether instead of this new stuff. Kind of like charcoal starter fluid, the old days it would get charcoal going, now it will almost put out a fire.

Yep, read the label on the starting fluid....John Deere had two on the shelf last I knew. Piston ring breaker, and the safe kind with upper cylinder lubricant...You want the Piston popper stuff for mounting tire beads. Dangerous fun....Like when the first air bags came out!
