Don't forget you also are forced to get the jabs that you may be religiously or even medically exempt from by law. I know of 0 folks so far that have an approved exemption. I have worked for the federal govt for 16 years and never in my life been treated so poorly as these times. This entire "pandemic" scare sure has ruined some good employees and taken the drive right out of many folks. When you deem someone as less important because of their bodily choices and allow that mindset to spread - it is not good for a labor force.
Currently - I could not recommend federal govt employment for a true conservative Christian who might oppose vaccine mandates.

Presently there is an injunction preventing enforcement of vaccine mandates!

TreedaBlackdog- It is doubtful that any new fed employees will be hired without proof of 'vax" status or until fed court rules this as discriminatory.

As for you and me, and others already in the fed work force and who have filed for "reasonable accommodation" for religious exemption under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act or for medical under ADA, the politicos and the bureaucracy may just put up with us until we time out. Right now, OMP officials are using the employees who have filed for RE or ME as part of the overall "compliant" portion of the fed work force (they do give two sets of percentages that outline the distinction).

"And God said, Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion and all the creatures that move along the ground".

13 month term position - Wildlife Services uses these to fill positions and then does not follow federal opm policy in these positions. Positions are supposed to time out after 5 years and then they are supposed to do away completely with position or hire on the individual to a permanent position. They don't. Would be a good job for a single individual with no family to take care of or someone already in that vicinity needing a job.

Unfortunately wildlife services is the black sheep of the USDA and is a cost recovery office. Landowners, the county, the state, and a smidgeon from the feds is what funds the service. Loose one funding source and there is no money to fund the trapper. I imagine that is why they have the hiring system they use.
