The goal was to take off the entire month to trap. Clients and wrestling tournaments have made it difficult to get the entire line out--but a small part is out. Serious trapping will commence this weekend and next week. In the meantime, here is a nice pic from the check this morning. Two nice yotes and really nice coon. I am going to keep track of the season on this thread. If any Okies have pics, post them!

Mark Yes sir. He wouldn't miss it. I need him during the week though. I can set a lot more steel and cover a lot more ground with his help. We'll be busy Christmas break. Thanks again for all of the encouragement. That yote was caught on Windwalker, by the way.

How did the tournament go? Quite well actually. My oldest made a mistake and got caught in the championship and took 2nd. Even though it was a mistake on Kylee's part I got to give the other girl respect for catching her as Kylee is a great wrestler that would have recovered in most cases. My middle child Kimmy took 5th place in her weight. She is really coming along nicely for only having wrestled one full season, but with her sister beating on her she didn't have much of a choice. The youngest my boy is only a 4th grader so is in kids wrestling yet. They are just now practicing and a couple weeks out from their first tournaments. He is impressing the coaches, but has some big shoes to fill fallowing his big sisters.

Dang it. I thought I did it right. I don't know why it showed up twice. Typical democrat vote count procedure

I love how far girls wrestling has come in the last few years. The high school coaches ask my daughter every year to wrestle and she won't--I wish she would have. There are some great scholarships for the girl wrestlers.

Mike Thanks Mike. I use MB 550s. I'll also be trying out the Alphas this year--they haven't connected yet but they look really nice.

Another good check this morning. For the Okies, my place is along the South Canadian River and all of the neighbors and friends I trap for are within 3 or so miles of the river. We get some nice yotes in the area. And, it doesn't hurt that we feed them well with lots and lots of dead hogs that we shoot as targets of opportunity. Here's one from this morning. It's more typical but in my opinion not too bad. He didn't pose too good though. Thanks for all of the compliments on the one from yesterday. No cats yet. The coons look really good this year.
