must be time for coffee and sandwich. Just a few days ago I started working on a few Gibbs Two Trigger No. 1's. trying to get them rust free enough to make them nice for display. I think they are from about 1930's.

Try a vinegar soak on he traps to remove the rust. Knock off the flaming folks.

I've cleaned a few old traps with vinegar and then oiled them for hangers to look at in the barn. Also have a few in the house but I washed them with Dawn soap after the vinegar and let them dry with no oil. Both look good.
Would like to see your display when finished.

My advice is to ignore the noise, and keep politics out of it.

I'm great at giving good advice, just not so good at following it all the time. lol

50\50 vinegar water will take them to the shiny metal. Soak in a bucket for a couple of days then take to a pressure washer and spray them off good.

Black and strong,I'm only posed to have one cup a day (darn VA Dr.) he not only wrote it on some paper he said it in front of my wife. Only have to see him one time a year. But if I can get done before the Mrs. gets home I might----- just sometime mind you. Put a splash of Christen Bros. brandy in'r. Then dump the pot out so she don't see.
