Sounds like a bad night down there. News says death toll will probably exceed 100. I'm prayin' for ya.

Even with today's better weather alerts, there are still few things more dangerous than nighttime tornadoes.

How bad was Murray hit? Wife's brother and family lives just north of Murray. The missus has spoken to him, all okay but to busy to go into detail.
We were just up there for Thanksgiving.

Combine that with complacency where you grow accustomed to f1s or go long periods between the big f5s and you got a recipe for disaster.

I very nearly drove into the path of the Oak Grove Storm in 98 shrugging it off as just one of our typical thunderstorm spin up events. It wasn't, it was a half mile wide f5 that killed 37. Fortunately the gal I was dating had more sense and told me to sit my butt down. I married her a year later.

We were out of town last night so we missed the worst of the storm. The tornado was 3 miles from our house. Fortunately we didn’t have any damage at home. We just had some minor wind damage and trees uprooted at the farm down the road.

Lots of homes and businesses destroyed in Bowling Green. Widespread power outage and damage around the university.

Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved
