midlander OP trapper M Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 1,079 midland, michigan	Im considering a li-ion rechargeable battery for my foxpro shockwave. Currently using rechargeable Nimh batteries. Works fine until the temps take a real dip. I use this mostly in January for calling bobcat. Anyone have experience with both care to share if its worth the extra money for the Li-ion?

They really hold up a long time. Way cheaper than buying the FoxPro name too. They even work way better than I expected them to, had them since Jan 2019 and the are still working great after a lot of recharging times. I didn't like those batteries as they went dead rather quickly, really fast in real cold weather. Now I just use Energizer Ultimate Lithium non rechargeable batteries. Seem to last a lot longer. I just purchased a Foxpro X 1 caller that came with a 5200 ma rating battery. I added a spare 6700 mah battery that came with a car charger. I have not been on an all day all night hunt yet but these battery packs seem to fit the bill for hunting 5 or 6 hours of playing time even in weather that was in the teens. The problem for me when it's cold in my 9 volt battery in my remote. It drops in power quickly if I leave it in the cold for a couple hours. The picture is the bigger battery pack I purchased for my X 1. Remember "Forbidden Fruit makes many Jams"
