I've followed the progress of this for years. It has been delayed and delayed and delayed. It was even cancelled once with many cost overruns.
Very fascinating and with really a game changer of what we know about the cosmos. What this can do will make the Hubble look like a cheap homeowner's telescope.
Run time - 13:20

I've got my fingers crossed for the December 22nd launch date. If it does launch on that date , it will be on every TV station around the world.

I can't wait to see what it sees. In a way it will be like a look back in time.

For what that cost, we could feed and house every homeless vet in the country for the rest of their lives.

One of my hobbies is reasding astronomy news. Cant tell you how many articles over the years that had the line, " when the Jamea Webb Telescope is launched we'll have better images". Been rather annoying.

People always say that when it comes to science. But what about what we spend on elections, war in Iraq, war on drugs , and a hundred other wasteful, things. By the way the reason vets aren't taking care of lies in Washington.

Wow! That is certainly a mind screw!

If what they say about this telescope is actually true, then it should put the nail in the coffin regarding whether the universe is infinite or not.

If it is as advertised it will answer a lot of questions but will raise a lot more.

You could have fun with that if you turned it around and used it like we used magnifying glass to burn ants.

Successful launch. I just watched it live.
Finally got this thing off the ground.

Now comes the million mile trip to where it will be in orbit around the sun. It should take about 6 months to make that journey.
