Guy on a bunch of different trapping groups on Facebook was selling some traps. Had #3 bridgers for 6$ and 330# bodygrips for 8$ And a lot more traps for sale
Says he can pay shipping and I though it was low but I scored a deal.
He says shine crap about his phone whatever and google pay.
I run it by the wife because I’ve got in a lot of trouble her checking the bank account to see I bought a crap lot of unnecessary stuff. She says absolutely not
Your not sending anyone money unless it’s a business. I tell her she doesn’t know anything about traps or trapping and I’ve bought traps used for other people online for 20 years. She tells me to go pick them up then. I tel her know the guy is in South Dakota. She tells me after I pay for gas it won’t be that good of a deal then huh.
We’ll long story short. I’m scrolling to find more traps for sale figuring a way to talk her into me sending this guy money and I see 4 people just post how he ripped them off 200$ and 300$ same guy.
So I’m not going to say a word about it. Just tell my wife I understand and respect her thoughts and maybe next time we can compromise. Grab a little brownie points instead of looking like a complete idiot and get told the I told you so speech for 6 months.

An honorable man might tell his wife she was right but I am betting a smart man might not say a thing LOL

You should just give your wife a hundred bucks, and just say thank you...Give no explanation as to why...

Never pay for ANYTHING from anyone you don't know any way other than Paypal Goods and Services. When someone won't accept paypal 90% of the time it's a scam. If they try and talk you into friends and family, instead of goods and services, tell them NO.... tell them you'll pay the small fee that's the difference if it's that big of a deal.

Agree I pay the fees if not it’s theft plain and simple I don’t buy from folks that think that’s OK to use a service and skirt paying for it like they should. If they will cheat PP they don’t mind cheating then.

I use this thing every time I pay someone on Paypal. Like yotetrapper said always use goods and services never friends and family. This thing tells you how much you need to send if you want the person to receive a certain amount.

For example, if you want them to receive $100 you send $104.12

He ripped me off 4 or 5 years ago. Or I should say I allowed him to rip me off. It was only $70, so it could have been worse. I was buying some snares from him. I'm surprised somebody hasn't caught up to him and pounded knots on his head. I figured I could trust a fellow trapper. Won't happen again.

Maybe your wife is smarter than you on this matter. A man that realizes that is often ahead in the game.

I'll never use Google Pay again, made to order for a rip off. I let myself get taken after someone om here posted about Jacks Reloading having a bunch of stuff, it was just a nice professional looking site to steal folks money is all and Google Pay gives you no recourse to get your money back, good lesson I guess

I was looking online yesterday and was surprised to see there are at least a half dozen professional looking sites that are SCAMS selling reloading supplies. The first one, as fancy as the site looked, was obvious... no one's selling 1000 primers for $40. But some of the other ones with more normal prices... geez I don't think I'd be ordering from any company I've not personally heard of these days.

I got a email the other day telling me my bank account was used at Best Buy and did I approve it yes or no ($600) No bank logo on the email at all no activity on my account I just locked the card for the rest of the day and opened it later.

They were phishing for info is all I never did reply.

My guess some guys won’t go to the doctor if they were spitting up blood because of the visit costs but would buy a new gun the next day. LOL Yes that also describes me.

Yep, gotta be careful with the reloading supplies and ammo. Huge red flag is when they have a "minimum order" of $200. They are greedy. If its too good to be true it probably is!

I called about a trap found on Craigslist not for sure yet if it's a scam.
