Only wrens I know are spunky little brown things that like to nest in pots around the house.

I know a family that named their son Rhen. I think it is an Irish or Scottish name.

Years ago I knew a family that called the youngest son Brother. I never knew his real name, everyone always called him Brother.

When I was a kid, the family that lived across the street, 1 house over, had Wren as a last name. They moved to Washington, right before Mount St. Helens erupted. After the eruption, they sent me baby food jars of ash and pumice, that landed in their yard, because they knew I liked rocks.

I always thought Slab was a nice name.
I think Barney Rubble named his kid Slab.

My granddaughter is named Wren. I can't say anything because we named our daughter Tambi. Saw it in the credits of a Charles Bronson movie The White Buffalo.

I know one. Wen't to school and played sports with him. He is a retired major hospital maintenance supervisor and we are still in touch. Maybe because I've known him all my life I never found it odd.
