Looking at the Tikka T3X Light or Bergara B14 Hunter in 270 winchester. What is you gun nuts opinion. Trying to stay in that $800 or under $ range.

Thinking of trading in a Ruger security 6 357 mag stainless or Remington 788 222 (less than a hundred rounds through it) an idea value of either gun?

I'm very happy with my T3 in .22-250. I don't think you can go wrong with the Tikka. I have no experience with the Bergara or anything in a .270. If that helps at all.

I have 2 tikkas in left hand 22-250 and 270win. Both nice guns. 22-250 3 shots touching at 200 off bags. 270 I haven't found factory ammo that does the same. Still accurate 3 shots under 2" anything I feed it. About to start reloading for it to get tighter groups.

I purchased two stainless Tikkas T3 for my sons - One left hand lite and one right hand ultralight both in 6.5. Both boys shoot them sub moa.

Additionally, I would auction on gunbroker for top dollar rather than trade in, search the completed auctions on gunbroker to find current values. 788 in 222 on gunbroker have sold for 638-855, start with a penny auction and no reserve with a 14 day auction.

GB fees have gotten out of hand.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Another vote for Tikka, between them and TC they have the best triggers in my opinion.
As far as trade in, I think the .222 goes, and keep the. 357.
There again, my opinion.

I have been going back and forth between the two. I am leaning Bergara accuracy international mag options, rem 700 foot print so any thing you may want to change in the future is available. Lots more threaded options. But not offerd in 7mm08 is the kicker. And that tha cal i wanted to buy each of the boys.

Everyone has a 357. Trade it. I would hesitate to let loose of a 788 in this day and age.

You might take a look at the Howa 1500.

I agree with Mike.I wouldn't let go of that 788

I am a 788 fan. I got two others but we just don't shot the 222 much. But it is a 788 and I have a good stock of ammo so I am on the fence with it.

Tikka

the security 6 depends on factors , wear , barrel length and such between 6 and 8 hundred.

the 788 depending on condition is in the same range 6-800

if they are both in good but used condition right around 700

thing is you won't get either again for 700 so if you like either keep it and find more cash
