I used them some , I liked washers and screws better for barn trapping

most all my traps already had double stake swivels so 3 1/2 inch screws with washers or good size heads like a washer head screw work real nice and since it was a barn I wasn't walking to far , just bring cordless driver with

they make them in all sorts of lengths 3,4,5,6, inch

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Yes, if you got a solid hold in sound wood. However if using wire or cable and the coon wraps enough to lose swiveling you might lose the coon if they kink or break off the wire or cable.
I quit using wire for anchoring anything other than conis or cages for that reason.

Used them when I was young and they worked fine as long as the wood was solid. As with all footholds make sure you have enough swivels.
