I bought fish with him and his daughter Doobie here on the Yukon River many years ago during the King boom years. We both ran boats. He has been at my house several times. I have handwritten notes from him somewhere he left on my door when I was not home. I once asked him if he got rich from the movie. He said no. 30/06 trapper 3 Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 811 Interior Alaska	I got passed by George one night near North Pole, (the town). Thankfully on a straight section of trail. It was a nice clean pass. He had 26 dogs pulling a light weight sprint sled. That's a huge string, not sure he could see his leaders.
